Clare PP First Year Blitz 2016/17
The annual 1st Year Blitz was held on Wednesday 29th March in Eire Og and St Flannans pitches. Nine schools were represented and 10 teams competed in the 11 aside format. Each team had two matches in the morning with semi-finals and finals in the afternoon.
The A Cup final was a repeat of last year's final but this year Kilrush CS beat Colaiste Muire Red (2-4 to 0-4).
The A Shield final was also a repeat of last year's final but with Spanish Point proving stronger against St Flannans.
The B Cup final was won by Kildysart CC who beat a gallant Lisdoonvarna after Kilmihil CC withdrew from their semi-final.
The B Shield was won by Lisdoonvarna who reversed the earlier encounter with St Caimins.
In the C Cup final Colaiste Muire Black were 1 point winners over Scoil Mhuire Ennistymon.
